Safety over Tradition: The Microfiber Mopping Systems

Sunday, August 30th, 2009

Microfiber mopping systems have now become more widely used both in the commercial and hospital settings as compared to the traditional mopping system for numerous economic and safety reasons.

One of the reasons for their great popularity is that microfiber mop heads are generally more absorbent than conventional mops since it can hold six or seven times it weight in water. This means that it can hold tons of water to get the cleaning done but will not drip like the conventional wet mop head. And since these microfiber mop heads needs less water to clean, floors dry a lot faster since they are damp but not extremely wet. As a matte of fact, floors cleaned with microfiber mop systems tend to dry in a third of the time it normally takes for floors cleaned by traditional mops. This in turn results to a safer environment with less possibilities for slips and falls thus causing less accidents.
