The discovery of microfiber gives a significant impact on maintaining and cleaning floors especially those that are made of tiles and hardwood. This is because, unlike with ordinary mops, it does not just push dirt around the surface of floors. Instead, it picks the dust and dirt and traps these in the mop without leaving smudge on the surface floor.

The microfiber mop is best used for both small and big jobs. Its design is durable enough and it is also effective for cleaning where you will not need cleaning solutions anymore. In fact, more households prefer to use microfiber because their children and pets as well have zero exposure to cleaning chemicals. This is also helpful for those households who have members of the family that have allergy problems.

By using the microfiber mop, the floor is cleaned very fast. You will just dip the mop to hot water and then attach the Velcro head to its structure. And because dipping constantly is not required, you will not be required to carry with you the bucket of cleaning solution or water. And even you are not regularly cleaning the mop while cleaning the floor, you can still clean effectively without spreading dirty water on the floor surface. Moreover, there is no debris or stains of water left on the floor. With this easy and quick cleaning of floor, everybody can do it even the child in the household.

Microfiber mop is also great in removing germs and it is said that it can avoid about 99% of germs that may dwell on your hardwood floors. Mopping the floor with regular mop uses more water and the water goes to the seam of the hardwood floor causing it to swell over time so molds will grow eventually including on the baseboards of walls. Therefore with the use of microfiber mop, this will be avoided because less water is required. And also warping on the floor is avoided.

It is a good thing also that the microfiber mop is very durable and its life span could be longer if it is maintained properly. Actually, a microfiber mop can be used for years. Therefore it can be said that using microfiber mop is very inexpensive because you do not need to buy every now and then. And not only that, even the life span of the floor is lengthened because it is properly cleaned using the microfiber. The mop has very soft and fine strands that it will not leave any scratch or mark on the top coat of the floor. The floor will also be free from chemicals so it deteriorates less.

Even the hard to reach areas can be cleaned using the microfiber mop because there are different designs of this mop that are used for different purposes. With these designs, even under furniture and around the baseboards of the walls are cleaned thoroughly.

But in case you are not accustomed to dry mopping, you can still mop the floor using water. And because the microfiber mop is absorbent enough, you will have no worry on warping or damages on the floor eventually.

By switching from an ordinary cloth mop to the microfiber mop, you will gain many benefits. You are not just merely saving money but also you are freeing yourself with the exposure to harmful household cleaning chemicals. You are saving money because the microfiber mop is highly durable, no chemical is required, less water is used so buying bucket for the water is not needed anymore. Your cleaning time is also reduced so you will have more time with other important things in the house.

Why waste your money on expensive and hazardous cleaning solution that is full of chemicals if you can just get the same result by using water only and a “microfiber mop”?

Microfiber technology is considered as one of the greatest invention for the cleaning industry. The microfiber is composed of microscopic fibers which are 200 times finer that the human hair. This is made up of polymers such as the polyester or nylon and it has excellent capacity to hold water. Moreover, it can also efficiently absorb dirt, oil, and grime. Thus, this is considered as one of the best cleaning material in the house.

As a matter of fact, a microfiber mop could absorb water seven times more than its weight or 700% more. It can also amazingly absorb 98% of moisture of the area that is cleaned as compared to only 70% when using the ordinary cotton cloth.

The following are the three benefits of investing on microfiber mop rather that the cotton mop:

1.	Longer Life Span – the microfiber mop has longer life span as compared to the cotton mop because this is made up of polyester and polyamide fibers that are highly durable. The microfiber mop can be used several times per day (up to 500 times) and it still in good shape with retained cleaning quality.

2.	More savings – microfiber mop does not require using expensive cleaning liquids. It only needs plain water and the cleaning output is just the same. Therefore in the long run, you will not only significantly cut down the usage of hazardous chemical, you can also save more money.

3.	No need to be wrung repeatedly – this mop has high water retention so you will not need to wring it more often. Thus, you can clean larger areas in less time because you are saving the time for wringing. Microfiber can be washed using plain water and its shape is retained better than the cotton mop.

By using the microfiber mop, you will save lots of money because it is highly durable and at the same time you will not need expensive cleaning solutions anymore. Your productivity will also increase because you will need less time to clean. Therefore, it can be said that this is one of the good investments you can do for cleaning.

While there are some who still prefer the use of soft cotton in cleaning, there are many who have already replaced their cleaning materials with the latest technology. So, you better check out and compare which is better, to stay in the conventional way or invest a little in microfiber and reap the rewards in the long run.

Contrasting with common cloths that are made from natural fibers, microfibers are made using tiny polyester and polyamide fibers. These are said to be the cleaning material built and suit the needs of the 21st century.

Microfiber is tremendously soft and very flexible. It can be used to any kind of service. In terms of durability, it lasts longer as compared to an ordinary cotton cloth. Washing of microfiber does not require any detergents so you will be amazed how it does the cleaning without using any soap. Also, no cleaning agent is used. As a consequence, you can save large amount of dollars from buying detergents through time.

The most important consideration that a cleaning company look at is the absorption capacity of a cleaning material. Microfiber cloth has the ability to hold water up to 7 times of its weight. Moreover, it can hold 98 percent moisture while an ordinary cloth can hold of only 70 percent. Dust and grime spots are trapped in the web like molecular structure of the microfiber thus no particles are left on the surface. The huge absorption capacity of microfiber makes it ideal when cleaning windows. It is more advantageous because it can hold liquid of up to 7 times of its weight and more so it leaves no streaks after cleaning. Microfiber is also advisable to clean any spilled liquid (water, milk, oil) because it lessens the use of paper towel thus minimizing cost to buy those cleaning supplies.

Microfibers can be found anywhere. And if you want to have one, you can check the local grocery stores, department stores or even through online shopping.

How to Use Microfiber Cleaning Cloths
Microfiber Cleaning Cloths are innovative, environment-friendly, and awfully effective cleaner. Those superior quality microfiber cleaning cloths have features of split microfiber. The open spaces in the microfiber produced through splitting are responsible for trapping up the dirt and holding significant amount of water.

If it will be used as dry, fold it neatly to be able to clean numerous surfaces at the same time. However, microfiber is best used when it is damped. But never use it with dripping out water. Simply wash the cloth with plain water and wring out excess water. This damp technique is very ideal for cleaning appliances, scrubbing bathrooms, cleaning car interiors, wiping down kitchen counters and other numerous cleaning applications.

When you were younger and your dad asked you to help him in cleaning the cars or your mother assigned you to mop the floor, what were you using then as cleaning material? What were your experiences? I am sure you had regrets now. If the microfibers were invented earlier, then you had not experienced the burden of cleaning using the conventional cloths.

Fortunately, kids who are born today and those who will be born in the future will no longer experience what you had in the past. It is because of the wonders of cleaning offered by microfiber. Well, moms and dads too will be happy to know that no more water will be wasted and less time will be spent using this new technology in cleaning.

No other cleaning material can beat the competence of a microfiber cleaning cloth be it on surfaces like coffee tables, cars, and boats, or even ordinary surfaces in the house such as your kitchen counter-top, etc. It is consider as an all-around cleaner with a superb cleaning quality.

As its name implies, microfibers are consist of the finest synthetic fibers which are either nylon or polyester. Even though it weighs as light as feather, it can hold a very remarkable amount of water and it lasts a very long life. It can also absorb a lot of oil, which makes it perfect for an all around cleaning in the house and other areas.

The lint left when cleaning with the use of conventional cloths is very irritating. Now I understand why my dad always asked me to use newspapers instead of cloth when I was cleaning the car windows way back in my childhood days. He always advised me that newspapers do not leave any mark or lint on the glass unlike cloth which is not a good cleaning material. My dad told me that the use of conventional cloth in cleaning is a waste of time since I had to repeatedly wipe the surface area and still produced inferior cleaning result.

But nowadays, with the introduction of Microfiber cloth in the cleaning industry, it makes the cleaning job a lot easier because it leaves behind no lint, no dust, or no broken fibers. It just gives and leaves you a perfect clean area.

Certainly, not all microfiber cleaning cloth which are offered in the market today are exactly the same. If you will buy one, try to look for the finest microfiber cloth because it is of high-quality and therefore it will be more efficient in terms of cleaning capacity. In addition to this, microfibers are made of very fine cloths and have better capacity to hold water and oil.

Microfiber cleaning cloths are priced a bit higher than the conventional cloths but surely these offer more convenience and more benefits to the user. Just like the cloths we used to buy, it can be washed repeatedly and can be used for many times. And if properly taken cared of, microfiber can last up to several years thus minimizing your expenses for cleaning materials in the long run. So, if you have tried using it for the first time, I am very confident that the next time you do your cleaning chores, you will look for the microfiber and never again that you will go back to the old traditional cloth.

The microfiber is also known as the “microfibre”. This is so small and its size is 1 denier or a gram per 9000 meters. Comparing to the human hair, its diameter is only 1/100th. And if you compare it to a strand of silk, the microfiber is 1/20th of its diameter. A microfiber is composed of synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon. This has thin strand than can maintain its shape. It is made up of about 200,000 fibers in every square inch.

Nowadays, the microfibers are widely used in some industries. These are used in cleaning all surfaces. Microfibers are also used in clothes, apparels, furniture, and car seats.

As cleaning cloth, microfiber is best used in wiping or cleaning in all surfaces. Since microfiber cloth is made up of minute synthetic fiber strands, particles such as dirt, dust, and other debris are attracted easily. This cloth attracts dirt particles just like a magnet. It holds the dirt with its open spaces unlike with cloth that it just pushes around particles and not totally cleaning it. The fiber is very fine making the surfaces smudge free. Microfiber towel is also excellent in removing stains, grease, and smudged dirt. It is best used in scrubbing bathrooms, removing dust and dirt on appliances, and cleaning the interiors of cars. It can also wipe the chemically treated clothes. It performs well in cleaning windows whether the cloth used is dry or wet. This cloth can absorb up to seven times more liquid than its weight. Thus, this makes it best in cleaning glass surfaces without smudging and having no trace of residues.

Even microfiber is best in cleaning different surfaces, it also needs proper maintenance and extra care because it is prone to damages because it is used in various surfaces. It is important that the microfiber cloth is properly cleaned and thoroughly dried every after usage. The prescribed washing and drying of microfiber product must be followed to ensure its long life and cleaning efficiency.

Microfibers are found in athletic clothes and apparels. This is becoming popular in clothing industry because cloth that is made up of this is cool to wear because they say that the skin can “breathe”. Because of this, clothes that are made up microfiber are designed for athletes especially during times of practice and extensive training where sweating and perspiration occur. In fact some well known brands, like the Dockers, use microfibers in their product lines because of the ability of the cloth to repel liquids. Actually, pants made up of this fiber are not prone to stains.

Different Types of Microfiber Mops

Basically, there are two categories of microfiber mops and these are the wet mop and dust mop. These mops have different specific uses but both are effective in cleaning the floor and other surfaces.

Wet Mops – under the wet mop category, there are two types of this:

•	Looped End Mop – this type of wet mop has more surfaces that are exposed and it can clean wider surface in just one swipe. It takes less time in cleaning and with just single stroke or swipe on floors, the area is already clean. It can absorb more liquid and it can hold it there for long period. There is no snagging or scratching on floors and furniture. This type mop is popularly used nowadays because of its cleaning performance. And because of this, its selling price is higher than an ordinary mop. However, this high price is compensated well with its cleaning performance and the time saved in using it. Anyway, this is washable so it can be used for a long period of time as long as proper maintenance and care is done and the prescribed drying and washing are followed. Its strands do not fray and ravel as time goes by if it is properly cared.

•	Cut End Mop – this type of wet mop is best used in cleaning spills. This is advisable for home use because spills are usually experienced there. This mop is cheaper as compared with looped end mop. Its structure is entirely different with the other type of wet mop. Based from its name, the end portion of a cut end mop is removable or it has a cut on its end. Its strands are attached only at the end band of this mop. Cut end mop is relatively cheaper because of its replaceable and disposable strands. The strand of this mop may wear off over time making it difficult to clean or wash therefore it is not advisable to clean it using washing machines.

Dust Mops – The dust mop is smaller as compared with the common mop. This is the other type of microfiber cleaning. Dust mop in blue color is intended for mopping wet surfaces while dry surfaces for the white one. The different types of dust mops are:

•	Loop End Dust Mop – this type of dust mop can clean wider surface area just like in looped end wet mop. This is best used in picking small particles like debris, dirt and dust. It can trap these particles once it is wiped on the surface. The loop end dust mop, based from its name, has looped back and it is sewn so that the strands are protruded or pointed from the body of the mop.

•	Cut End Dust Mop – this mop is made differently from the loop end dust mop. It also has strands which are protruded from the body of the mop but it has a cut at the end. The cut end dust mop is designed for cleaning more fine particles.

•	Clip Style Dust Mop – the name of this mop refers to the way the mop is attached to its frame. Clips or snaps are used in securing the mop from its frame.

•	Tie Style Dust Mop – this dust mop has two ties on both sides and the ties are tied to a bow in order to secure the mop to its frame.

Want an eco-friendly, extremely effective way to clean? Then you have to try cleaning with a microfiber towel! Microfiber towels are revolutionary, and it sure does clean.

Microfiber is defined as any fiber that is equal to or less than 1 denier. A denier is a measurement of fineness equal to a unit of fiber weighing one gram for each 9000 meters. A microfiber is 1/100th the diameter of human hair, and 1/20th the diameter of a strand of silk. In one square inch of a microfiber towel, there would be approximately 200,000 fibers. Split microfibers are present in high quality microfiber cleaning cloths. If you are looking at the intersection of every microfiber, you will see that a split microfiber, after the splitting process, will be looking like an asterisk. The open spaces in the split microfiber allow it to pick up and hold dirt and dust particles. It absorbs liquid as well.

Microfiber towels when used damped, are great for removing smudges, grease, stains or dirt. It can be done without the help of any chemical cleaners. This is the primary reason why microfiber towels are environment friendly materials. It can also be used as a duster instead of a chemically damped material. By using microfiber towels, an office can cut down the use of paper towels, since microfiber towels are able to hold about as much as 7 times their weight in liquid, making these towels more absorbent than paper towels. Also, unlike their paper towel counterpart, microfiber towels are machine washable, and can be used repetitively when used with care.

Since the microfiber towels are so absorbent, they make a great window cleaning material, even with just water as cleaning agent. When using the microfiber towels wet, the squeegee like edges of each microfiber in a microfiber cleaning cloth scrape up the dirt while the open spaces keep the dirt in the microfiber towel. The microfibers in each towel are positively charged, making it great in dusting, since the dust particles are negatively charged. Because of these opposing charges, the microfiber towel will act like magnet towards the dirt particles and will hold to the microfiber towel until you rinse the towel.

Beside microfiber towels, there are other products in the market that has microfibers in them. One is the microfiber mop. Microfiber mops have the same component as a microfiber towel. They have the same fiber thickness, or the lack thereof, and the open spaces between the fibers. These open spaces hold dust and dirt particles and absorb liquids. The dirt and dust particles cling to the microfiber mop until you rinse it with mild soap or detergent. Microfiber mops also retain a large volume of moisture because of the spaces between the fibers. These same spaces also allow the microfiber mop for quicker drying time. Microfiber mops can be used dry or wet to pick up dust and dirt in any surfaces.

There is a wide variety of microfiber products. And the uses of these products are seemingly vast. Microfiber towel is generally for dusting purposes. To use it for dusting, you have to dampen the cloth very gently, and wipe it along the surface area of what you are aiming to dust off. As for buffing, you have to make sure that the microfiber towel is dry. Hold it flat in your palm; and applying circular or back and forth motion, buff off the wax or polish. You should not use heavy pressure as this may result in scratches or swirl marks in the pain. After every use, wash the microfiber towel thoroughly. A microfiber towel can be used as many as 100 times. When drying your car, boat, or any vehicle, it is recommended that you completely dry a certain area before moving to the next. You would want to start at the top and move towards the bottom of your vehicle. It is best to have multiple microfiber towels on hand and rotate them frequently to make sure that the debris and dirt caught in the towels won’t scrape off or scratch off the paint. When you are drying hard to access areas, try using the dragging method. The dragging method is done by holding each corner of the towel and simple dragging it across the surface area. The weight of the towel will soak up the water. Remember to use as little pressure as you could in drying your vehicle, so that you would not be leaving scrape marks and swirls in your vehicle. Again, washing the towels thoroughly after use is very much recommended.

Microfiber glass and widow towels works well even without cleaning agents such as detergents or glass cleaners. You have to simply dampen the towel a little by water, and wipe it across the surface area. How to know if your towel is dirty? If you see streaks in the window, you have to wash your towel.

Microfiber duster is a great cleaning apparatus that anyone can have. It is really a must have in houses. The microfiber duster can be used dry or damped. To use it, you simple have to swipe it or glide the duster across the dashboard or the surface area. After three or four swipe, gently shake the duster off the free it from accumulated dust and dirt particles. Since it is relatively compact, it is ideal to store inside your glove compartment.

Microfiber wash mitt is perfect for people who really treasure their cars. It is safe to use and a great deal cheaper than having a car wash done by professionals. First, you have to make sure that the microfiber mitt is clean, free of dirt and debris. You have to make sure of this because, debris even though small can leave unattractive scratches on your vehicle. Fill a bucket of water with detergent. You have to allow a few seconds for the microfiber mitt to soak up the liquid solution inside the bucket. In a circular motion, clean the surface area of your vehicle gently. Do not apply heavy pressure so that there will be no scratches or swirl marks later. Remember to always start from the top of the vehicle and work your way downwards. The last areas that you might have to clean would be the wheels, chrome and exhaust pipe. After washing, refill the bucket with water and thoroughly rinse the microfiber mitt. Allow the mitt to dry fully before storing it. You have to store the mitt in a plastic bag between washes.

A microfiber tower is a kind of towel that is created from a special blend of fibers, normally a composition of polyester interwoven with polyamide and some other kind of synthetic nylon material. Microfiber items have a wide range of uses and have the capacity to absorb moisture and high amounts of liquid contained within it’s shell. Microfiber towels last for years and can be reused repeatedly, making microfiber towels an excellent pick.

The fibers structural make up is altered to produce this durable and highly flexible material known as microfiber. This process is initiated by severing or creating split ends on each fiber course within the weave. This is the secret to a microfiber’s extraordinary absorption properties. As a result of the splitting process, microfiber is the premier choice for absorption processes that require an object to hold more liquid that it’s total body mass.

Aside from the microfiber towels amazing ability to absorb liquids quickly and with ease, the microfiber towels are uniquely crafted to provide a texture that is delicate and soft to touch. The denier of the material itself provides the superb texture; a textile measurement used to define the fine thread of a fiber the lower the denier the finer the consistency of fiber will be. A single fiber of microfiber cloth is comparatively thinner than human hair which contributes to it’s excellent denier. Microfiber has an even finer texture than cotton or silk.

Another beautiful feature of the microfiber towel is it’s attractive durability and use. While a microfiber cloth can be extremely soft and luxurious to feel, it is also absorbent and has extreme tension resistant properties brought about by the unique process of it’s weave. Microfiber towels resemble that of the same consistency in weaving as a black widow spider web. This means that when it comes to outlasting competition, microfiber will outrun even the most durable cotton by 100 times more staying power, possibly longer. Microfiber towels retain their shape and fresh appearance and do not have to be replaced as often as a conventional cloth product.

Being in the same retail category as other towels, the microfiber towel comes with a wide range of colors, patterns and exquisite designs that will tickle your fancy. It is possible to have a luxurious bath towel that come in divine white or perhaps a firey red color with rich hues that will compliment any bathroom aesthetic. As with most fine linen the microfiber towel is an excellent weaving medium and can come with the most beautiful design, such as a faux Persian rug impression woven into the towel for an elegant finish. This makes microfiber towels stand out from other conventional toiletries.

Microfiber cloth and towels, bath sheets, mini towels, shower scrubs, hair dryers and washcloths can turn out to be expensive, there are more inexpensive brands but be weary as they are not the best buy for your money. These inexpensive microfiber brands will not split the microfiber material creating a more inferior product that looses out on durability and absorption. It is a good practice to invest in a little more than what you originally bargained for when it comes to buying the perfect set of microfiber cloths so that you can maximize your investment and have them in good condition for a long time.

Reducing Paper waste in the Kitchen
Make the right replacement by substituting your paper towels, tissue and paper products with microfiber

Eliminating the use of paper products in the kitchen is relatively easy with the innovation and invention of microfiber cloths, a reusable and disinfecting cloth perfect for that rustic job in the kitchen.

Removing disposable paper products and going all out when it comes to a cloth based kitchen is a wonderful step when it comes to cutting down paper waste and rake in the savings. It doesn’t require a huge investment and can make a big difference in your annual budget for paper products used in your dining and cooking area.

Cloth versus paper Napkins
For starters try replacing your paper napkin needs with cloth napkins. Not only will you help the environment by ridding of paper waste, but you can add an instant touch of glamour and class to the dining area. Using cloth napkins instead of the paper version is relatively easy. Cloth napkins are found in every kitchen counter store and normally match popular kitchen deco and aesthetic color schemes. You can find cloth napkins at the most conventional places and even in your local thrift store. Cloth napkins are the easiest sewing ideas for newbies and can save you some dollars when creating that perfect napkin to fir your kitchen.

Replace Tissues
Eliminate the clutter brought about by tissue paper in the home by going for handkerchiefs and bandanas that do exactly the same function but is more elegant and civilized.

Avoid Paper towels for hand drying
Of course one of the biggest uses of paper towels in the household is for hand drying. Many of use paper towels immediately after hand washing and even to wipe the dishes dry which is mortifyingly a huge waste of resources and cut down trees. Hand towels, dish towels and even a custom sewed canvas cloth can be the perfect inexpensive replacement for that bad habit of using paper towels to dry the hands and more insanely, the plates. Switching to wax paper as a dish cover in the microwave can save you a lot of money as well. Hand towels add that certain flare and elegance to a kitchen compared to the junky and cheap feel that a paper towel is known for.

Replace paper towels with Microfiber
Microfiber is the perfect replacement for all your wiping drying and disinfecting needs in the kitchen and dining room. You can opt to use microfiber cloth for drying your plates and your hand after a good wash because of it’s highly absorbent and disinfecting properties. Consider investing in a good set of microfiber cloths to get the best value replacement for paper products in the kitchen.

Traditionally, people clean everything with water and soap. Water, being known as the universal solvent, is capable of cleaning almost anything. It is because the molecules of water are electrically unbalanced so that they stick to all kinds of things and break them apart. Water, in effect, breaks down a lot of things it gets in contact with.

Detergent, a soapy chemical, is an alternative where water cannot do the work. Detergent clings to dirt and grease, breaks them apart, and makes it easier for water molecules to flush them away. But while detergent can speed up the cleaning process, there are many environmental issues that are attached to it. For one, detergents can cause allergic reactions to so many people. Once detergent gets in contact with human skin, many things unpleasant things could happen as it tends to undermine the body’s immune system. Another issue has something to do with the fact that detergent molecules do not simply vanish into thin air after they have completed the task of breaking down dirt and grease. They are flushed down the drain together with the dirt and grease that they had broken down. They gradually build up in the environment and cause water and soil pollution. Therefore, in the process of cleaning up our homes, we simply transfer the dirt to the environment. We make our homes cleaner but we make the environment dirtier. Nothing good is accomplished in the process.

Microfiber
Microfibers are synthetic fibers that measure less than one denier, a unit of measurement of linear mass-density of textile fiber calculated as one gram per 9000 meters. Microfibers are commonly made from polyesters, polyamides or nylon, and a combination of polyester and polyamide. Microfiber can be used to make non-woven, woven and knitted textiles. The shape, size and combinations of synthetic fibers can provide specific characteristics that are unique to microfibers such as absorption, wicking abilities, water repellency, and filtering capabilities.

Microfiber is typically used for apparel, upholstery, industrial filters, and now it is becoming very popular as cleaning product as they are very suitable for cleaning sensitive surfaces.

Microfiber used for consumer cleaning is made from split conjugated fibers of polyester and polyamide while microfiber used for commercial cleaning include products constructed of 100% polyester microfiber. Fabrics made with microfibers hold their shape and are exceptionally soft. When combined with the right knitting process, microfiber materials create an effective cleaning material that can hold up to seven times its weight in water. Microfiber materials also have an exceptional ability of oil absorption, making them excellent cleaning tools.

Cleaning Tools
Microfiber products are very popular cleaning materials in car detail shops. They proved to be indispensable tools in removing wax, quick detailing, car interior cleaning, glass cleaning, and for drying. Because they have very fine fibers, they leave no lint or dust which are common problems with cotton cleaning materials. They are comparable in result with chamois leather cleaning materials.

Microfiber materials can also be found in a lot of professional cleaning tools such as mops and cleaning cloths. Microfiber mops last a lot longer than non-microfiber mops and although they are much more expensive, they will be more economical in the long run.

Microfiber cloths are good in cleaning photographic lenses which are very much prone to scratches. They are also used in cleaning computer screens and eyeglasses.

Microfiber fabrics that are designed for cleaning allow cleaning on a microscopic scale. Microfiber materials can clean surface and reduce the number of bacteria by 99% as compared to 33% bacteria elimination by conventional cleaning materials. Microfiber materials have a high dust-attracting power and they can absorb fat and grease through their electrostatic properties.

Van der Waals Forces
In physical chemistry, the van der Waals force, named after Dutch scientist Johannes Diderik van der Waals, refers to the attractive or repulsive force between molecules other than those due to covalent bonds or to the electrostatic interaction of ions with one another or with neutral molecules.

Microfibers get better grip of very tiny dirt particles because of the natural adhesive forces between the tiny fibers and the tiny particles of dirt. It is the same force that allows geckos to stick to the ceiling using the tiny hairs in their feet. The van der Waals force between the microfibers and the tiny spec of dirt may be very small but when multiplied with the number of microfibers in a given cleaning material, the force is multiplied enormously.

Very tiny specs of dirt, dust, and bacteria stick to the microfibers and stay there. It will be necessary then to regularly clean your microfiber cleaning cloth, usually by boiling them in water for few minutes. The use of detergent in cleaning microfiber cleaning materials may clog up the fibers and reduce their effectiveness.

Unsuitability
Microfiber cleaning materials cannot be used in all surfaces. It is unsuitable for some cleaning applications because it accumulates dust and debris and may damage some sensitive surfaces such as plasma and LCD screens. The damage will be caused not by the microfiber cloth itself but by the grime and dirt that had accumulated in the cleaning cloth. Those grime and dirt could turn into abrasive particles that can scratch those sensitive surfaces. The use of flat, non-rugged microfiber cloth can minimize the risk of scratching because they tend to be less prone to retaining grime and dirt.

Microfiber fabrics tend to be flammable and will emit toxic gases when burning. It is because microfibers are made with synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon, usually constructed from polypropylene, which are made from petrochemicals.

Economical Cleaning Materials
Microfiber cleaning materials are designed for repeated use and must not be discarded after being used once. They are therefore economical cleaning materials as they can be re-used several times, offsetting the cost of the material itself. In addition, microfiber cleaning materials can be used without the aid of detergents and any other cleaning solutions that can be harmful to the environment. Microfiber cleaning materials and water can clean so many surfaces effectively, bringing down the cost of the cleaning process.

When it comes to microfiber cloths, there are a number of varieties to choose from depending on the thickness of the cloth, the weaving patterns, size and color. A number of microfiber cloths being sold in the market are made from a combination of polyamide and polyester. For service contractors focused on maintenance of buildings, all these things can get very confusing. The thing here is how can these service contractors educate themselves on how to maximize the usage of microfiber?

Microfiber is defined as a synthetic material made out of a conbinati0on of polymer and polyester bound and combined together to create a micro strand. These micro strands are the sliced into small fibers then are all interwoven to produce cleaning materials like towels, mops and rags. With the characteristic of being capable of wiping of dirt at a ninety-nine percent success rate, microfiber cleaning materials are far more effective than cotton based cleaning materials.

Graded
With regards to major manufacturers of microfiber, there is one company that is making use of a system that grades the microfiber products they produce. An example of this grading system is that their most heavy duty microfiber product has the capacity to absorb the punishments and torture of constant washing in commercial establishments that need to be cleaned every minute and can withstand and absorb oils and dirt that has been stuck to the surface for a long time. The grading system goes by this simple ranking . . .

1.	best
2.	better
3.	good

The one thing that can and might confuse the consumer is to choose the right microfiber for the job at hand. The rule of thumb when it comes to microfiber is that those cloths that are thicker are more sturdier than those of a lesser density. Thicker cloths mean more clean surfaces and can be washed a lot more times than the thinner ones.

But as a consumer do not be fooled by thinking that a fluffy microfiber cloth is a thick cloth. It does not follow. The thing to look at is the micro strands. If the micro strands are woven really tight, then the product is of the best grade. If those micro strands are not tightly woven, they will appear fluffier and probably fool the customer that it can absorb more dirt than those cloths that are tightly woven and are stiff to the touch. The thicker microfibers are more suitable for light and heavy cleaning because the thickness allows these cloths to be more versatile. A thin but tightly woven microfiber is better suited for cleaning window panes, glass and mirrors. Thicker microfibers made into mops are made for scrubbing floors.

One good test that you can do as consumer is to put lotion on your mirror and pass your microfiber cloth to wipe it off. Take note of how many times you passed the microfiber cloth before you get all the lotion off. The best grade of microfiber has the capacity of cleaning all the lotion in two passes at the most. Another test that you as a consumer can perform is to simply run the microfiber cloth on your skin and if the cloth offers a good grip on your skin, then it is best grade.

Testing

One thing you can do as a consumer is to write down all the necessary information before you test a microfiber cloth. The information that you need to take note of are the following . . .

-	work surface about to be cleaned
-	What kind of dirt is involved
-	The type of job at hand
-	The type of surface that the microfiber will be used on
-	Bad the total measurement of the area to be cleaned

No matter what results will be, there are some signs of what kind of microfiber you will need to clean this area the next time you do so. These tests will let you know what type of microfiber cloth you will purchase the next time around with all these considerations in mind.

What microfiber can do that other cloths can not

Through word of mouth, microfiber has been gaining popularity because of its capacity to clean surfaces giving out almost one-hundred percent effectivity. Friends of friends often give their friends microfiber as a present which they say will make all cleaning chores easier for them. Microfiber cloths appear to be just plain towels that have been folded in their package. It feels so soft to the touch. A lot of users stand witness to the cleaning capacity of microfiber cloths and their sturdiness and longevity. People who have done tests with microfibers have been impressed with the personal test results that they have achieved and they have spread the word as well.

Today these people who have been presented with microfiber cloths are now converts and now swear by the power of microfiber cloths and its cleaning capacity. There are a lot of reasons why people like to use microfiber cloths for cleaning.

One of these reasons is the composition of these microfibers. They are made from twenty percent polyamide and eighty percent polyester. When these elements are combined they form what is called a synthetic filament that are all weaved then these filaments are sliced sections of sixteen with the equal number of spaces in between slices. Each of these filaments measure a tiny twentieth of a strand of the finest silk one can find.

Now the question is how do people equate the composition of microfiber cloths to its cleaning power? Here is one possible answer. As these filaments are sliced, the wedge shaped filaments become a competent remover of dirt. It is the wedge shape of these filaments that make microfiber a powerful tool for cleaning. When microfiber picks up any form of dirt, it has the capacity to store the dirt and only lets go of it when the microfiber cloth is rinsed with hot water. Even if you use microfiber cloths for cleaning extensively, these cloths will normally last for up to two years.

Green cleaning is one trend that people have been trying out for the past years now. With the awareness that environmentalists have brought all of us, people are now trying to do their best into making things work all. Especially when it comes to cleaning, people really want their homes to look their best but at the same time, they need to avoid causing more damage to the environment. This is what green cleaning is all about. It is the use of cleaning materials and equipment which do prevent or reduce damaging the environment. If you even notice it, there are a lot of cleaning products which have been manufactured mainly for the sole purpose of green cleaning.

If you are looking for the best way to clean which provides the best advantage for you, as well as the environment, here is one solution which is right for you. Microfiber is the best cleaning tool to have when it comes to green cleaning. You may be wondering why this is the best and there are so many reasons why. This is a cheap material which is used by most people when they want to clean in the most efficient way there is. When it comes to green cleaning, using microfiber is very promising which is why this has been the top choice by most people when they do clean their homes.

Green cleaning is achieved when using microfiber since it does allow you to cut on your consumption of cleaning solutions. You do not have to use these nasty and damaging cleaning solutions that work effectively although does a great job in doing so much harm in the environment. This is the first step that you have to learn when you want to be guaranteed to have a greener cleaning lifestyle. The good thing about this is that you do not have to worry about the efficiency of cleaning. With the use of microfiber, you will be guaranteed to have a very clean home, even cleaner without the use of the chemicals that you are used to.

Doubting the way that microfiber works? You need to understand how the mechanism for cleaning is when it comes to microfiber. Manufacturing microfiber involves mixing 20:80 polyamide and polyester. From here, you will see that there is a difference in the materials used for microfiber. Fibers are made in to fine strands which are thinner than silk and hair. These fibers are woven creating holes in between the microfibers. At the ends, microfibers are not rounded, contrary to what most textile are made of. This is what makes up most of the cleaning characteristic of microfiber. For this reason, most people have found convenience when they clean microfiber.

Splitting the ends of microfiber create ends which touch a larger surface area. As a result of this increase in surface area, the microfiber can pick up so much compared to regular textile. More exposure of the microfiber makes cleaning a lot easier for most people. Cleaning is 40 times more efficient than before. Even the tiniest particles, even those not seen by the eyes can be picked up by microfibers.

Picking up these tiny particles are made to be very efficient when cleaning since these microfibers are packed with a positive charge. This is mainly why microfibers clean up very well. Each strand work on its way to attract these dirt particles with just one wipe. Not much effort is needed in order to be able to clean a surface. Just wipe the microfiber and you will be guaranteed that 99% of whatever is present on the surfaces will be cleaned by the microfiber. What happens now to the dirt is that they are kept in the microfiber strands and only released when the microfiber is cleaned. This allows the microfiber to still do a cleaning job without having to return the dirt present in the microfiber.

Water absorption is one of the best features that microfiber has. You would not believe how much water it can absorb! Not only can it absorb twice or thrice, but five times its weight! Absorbing this much water bring the advantage to cleaning. Instead of having to re-drip microfiber in buckets of water, it only has to be dipped once and be guaranteed to last for so long when cleaning. Time is cut into half as well as the water spillage on the floors. You can now say goodbye to the days that cleaning results in water all over the floor.

Water consumption is also reduced to about 75% because with more water absorbed by the microfiber, there is less water needed to replenish the wetness of the microfiber. Since water consumption is such a big issue these days, the use of microfiber absolutely provides a solution to this.

Solid wastes are another thing that make cleaning an undesirable job to do. There are countless of disposable cleaning tools ranging from paper towels, sponges and rags which add to the growing wastes that the Earth has. This is what makes microfiber the best cleaning tool. Microfiber is an absolutely reusable cleaning material. You can just wash it each time you clean and you will not have to be worried about destroying the cloth. A microfiber usually lasts for about three years even with constant washing. People do not have to worry about the huge contribution that they have when the clean.

Microfiber is indeed the answer that people are looking for when it comes to green cleaning. People do not have to worry about guilty cleaning anymore. This is the tool which has made life a lot easier. With the efficiency of microfiber cleaning, people have very much replaced all their cleaning tools with this. Not only does this make cleaning such an easier job, but it also lessens the damage to the environment. For those people who want to make sure that the environment it saved from cleaning, there is no doubt that cleaning with microfiber is the best option that you will ever have.
